CHIEF OF NAVY COMMENDATION FOR WARRANT OFFICER REECE GOLDING MNZM, MSM.

After completing 49 years of outstanding service in the Royal New Zealand Navy, Warrant Officer Combat Specialist Reece Golding MNZM, MSM, transferred to the Royal New Zealand Naval Reserve on 30 November 2011 and was subsequently posted to HMNZS NGAPONA (Tauranga sub unit). WOSCS Golding holds a pivotal coordination role within the command team as Whole Ships Coordinator, and is directly responsible to the Officer in Charge. WOSCS Golding is an instrumental member and leader of the Tauranga Sub Unit of HMNZS NGAPONA and has worked tirelessly to deliver the outputs of both the RNZN, and the MTO branch. Many strong relationships and networks between the RNZNVR and maritime industry and other civilian organisations are directly attributable to his dedication, perseverance and drive to increase the opportunities available to the members of HMNZS NGAPONA, and he has consistently demonstrated exceptional military professionalism to the wider New Zealand and international community. CN, RADM Proctor travelled to the Tauranga sub-unit on 20 Jun 19, primarily to bestow his Commendation on WOSCS Golding in person, and took with him for the occasion WOSCS Golding’s son, CAPT Garin Golding. Other members of WOSCS Golding’s family, representatives of ACN (NResF) and CO, NGA, and others were also present to witness this well-deserved recognition
