A ‘Navy Club Dining In’ is planned to be held at the NOVOTEL Ellerslie 27 July. This is the first for the Navy Club being suggested by a few members to celebrate our partners past and future support. The evenings success will depend on the support of 100 attendees to achieve 50% subsidy by the club and secure the venue. As we know there are Club members, solo men and woman who served, and they of course are welcome to bring partners.

Carparking is available at number 2 car park Ellerslie racecourse immediately adjacent to the Novotel. Entry to the venue is via the garden entrance immediately opposite the Number 2 carpark entrance.

The NOVOTEL/IBIS offer a special reduced room rate for those who wish to stay overnight. Should guests take up this offer please check in on arrival.

Guests will be welcomed with Champagne at 1830 to 1930 in the Banquet room foyer where a seating plan will be displayed.

Dress will be semi formal, Evening or Cocktail dress for the ladies and black tie and lounge suit with miniatures for the men. Awards other than military miniatures may be worn in the usual way. This is a special event.

A 3-course meal will be served at the table with two choices of each course, any special dietary requirements will need to be advised at least 7 days prior to the evening.

There will be wine and water at each table, however if you prefer something else there will be cash bar at the rear of the Banquet room. There will be a loyal Toast during the proceedings. The speaker, (at this moment) is Mr Larry Robbins, Cdr RNZN Rtd. He has had a most
interesting career post Navy including Master Mercy Ship Africa. He is an accomplished speaker.

While this is a Navy Club event, members can invite friends who Served in the RNZN or RNZVR and their partners. Depending on numbers 6 – 8 can be seated at each table. When you RSVP say how many are in your group.

The price is $55.00 per head for members and $75 per head for non-member guests.
